HK Style Milk Tea

HK-style milk tea is a beloved beverage originating from Hong Kong's Cha Chaan Tengs. This rich, creamy, and robust tea is made by blending strong black tea with evaporated milk. Its unique taste and cultural significance have made it an iconic part of Hong Kong's culinary heritage.

    40g Ceylon black tea leaves

    evaporated milk

Step 1

Boil 5 cups of water

Step 2

Add 40g black tea leaves into the pot, turn heat to medium and continue to boil for 5 more minutes.

Step 3

Turn off the heat and let tea bag steep for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Add 2oz evaporated milk and 1-2 teaspoons of sugar into a teacup. Lastly, pour 6oz of tea into the teacup. Stir well and it is ready to serve!
